Change of Plans
Remember this?

It has now become this:

I got bored with the Flutter Sleeve Cardigan, and the thought of doing all of that seaming and finishing was daunting. This little summer top is knit in the round from the top down, and when its done, its done. No finishing, although I’ll probably do something around the neckline to fix the rolling. Its called Fifi by French Girl Knits.
Rowan Calmer is a great yarn, how come I didn’t discover it sooner? I’m not crazy about the bamboo needles with this yarn though, so I think I’ll go get some Addi Turbos and try those.
I’m also working on a pair of toe up socks from Yarn Pirate’s Merino Tencel Sock Yarn in Icicle. Here’s a photo:

Gossamer Stars Scarf
This is from the Summer 2008 Interweave Knits, and I’m using Tess’s Designer Yarn in Cascade Silk. It’s a beautiful color, and has lovely sheen.

Also for your eating pleasure, some Mascarpone Brownies:

At the Beach!
I am at the beach in Rehoboth DE for a few days. This is really a test to see if I can blog from my blackberry.
There is a lovely yarn shop here and I read on their website that it is for sale. Its 3 blocks from the beach. How tempting!

New Project
A few days ago I cast on for the flutter sleeve cardigan from the Spring 2008 Interweave Knits.

Doesn’t the model look happy in her cardigan? I hope when mine is done I’ll be that happy. Here is where I was a couple of days ago, I’ve progressed a bit since.

I’m making the size 36 for the back and the size 40 for the front. I figure that way I’ll end up with a size 38 right? I’m using Rowan Calmer and I hear it stretches. Right now this piece isn’t looking very big, so I’m hoping that is true. We’ll see!
